Is there an early bird price?

Yes, as you can see above, there is an early bird price and it’s well worth your time to book early.

What are the start and finish times?

The workshop is from 8:30am – 5pm. We will aim for movement breaks throughout the day as it’s quite an intensive training program. Registration on both the first and third day will be from 8am.

Can I claim this Professional Development on my tax return?

Yes of course you can! When you pay, you will receive a receipt with our ABN details which you can use for your upcoming tax return.

Do I have to come every day, or can I pick and choose? Depends on the workshop!

Postgraduate Infant Feeding Workshop – Yes, this is a 2-day workshop and attendance at both days is mandatory.

Postgraduate Paediatric Feeding Workshop – Day 1 and 2 is a 2-day workshop and attendance at both days is mandatory however you can purchase day 3 and 4 as individual tickets or attend all 4 days as a bundle workshop ticket.

What if I am a beginner therapist and would like to come to all 4 days?

Then you will get an excellent grounding in paediatric feeding. The first 2 days (“Paediatric Feeding Assessment and Therapy”) will set you up for learning in second 2 days of the workshop (“Paediatric Feeding in the Complex Caseload”). The days are meant to go together so they form a comprehensive program to maximise your learning. The “Postgraduate infant feeding workshop” is ideal for speech pathologists working with babies and toddlers. See the flyers for more details.

What about if I am an intermediate therapist, should I come to the first 2 days?

Experienced therapists that are interested in learning more detail about our Responsive Feeding House Model and our assessment process will benefit from attending the first 2 days (“Paediatric Feeding Assessment and Therapy”). Feeding assessment will not be covered in the second 2 days (“Paediatric Feeding in the Complex Caseload”) as these 2 days will focus on feeding therapy in complex caseloads.

What if I have attended Day 1 and Day 2 last year (2022 workshop)? What should I attend?

Day 1 and 2 in 2023’s workshop includes a bit more neurodiversity content with complex feeders in comparison to last year but you should be fine attending just day 3 and 4 this time.

What if I can’t attend face to face – is there another option?

Yes, you can via live stream.

What if something happens on the day with my internet (or my life!) and I can’t watch live?

We strongly encourage everyone to attend live (either face to face or via zoom). In the event of unforeseen circumstances, recordings of specific modules missed will be made available to delegates for 1 month only. The recordings will not be made available to all delegates.

Why are virtual and face to face tickets the same price?

Virtual tickets incur the cost of the AV team’s equipment and tech staff who live stream the event while face to face tickets incur the cost of venue hire and food, this means that the cost for both options is the same.

Where is the workshop?

The location is at Aerial Function Centre, University of Technology Sydney: Building 10, Level 7, 235 Jones Street Ultimo, Sydney (close to Central Station)

What is included in the ticket price?

All delegates attending will receive:

  • Thorough paediatric feeding training grounded in evidence-based theory taught through practical case studies, videos, and handouts.
  • Electronic PDF of the workshop slides
  • Electronic PDF fillable copies of Feeding Therapy Australia templates
  • Morning, afternoon tea and light lunch (face to face delegates only)

If my workplace registers more than one person from the same company, do we get a discount?

Yes, you do, by booking 5 or more attendees from one company, you will receive a 10% discount.

Please remember that cameras will be required to stay on for the entire workshop and you will sign an IP contract before starting so you cannot share your ticket/computer screen with another attendee if they have not paid for a ticket. We will contact you to arrange another ticket price if this occurs.

How is your workshop different from other feeding workshops?

Our workshop content has been written by 2 speech pathologists who have combined, over 35 years’ experience in paediatric feeding. The content presented is exactly how we manage our caseload in our own paediatric feeding private practices. Our practices have excellent reputations and equally excellent outcomes and more importantly, our programs work in a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approach which is aligned with best practice guidelines.

Our responsive house model is grounded in evidence-based theory. It breaks down the complexities of feeding difficulties so that families can make the changes at home that generalise across all settings. Together with the templates provided, you will have what you need to begin feeding assessment and therapy with your caseload straight away.
